When my uncle gave me a camera at the age of 11, I never imagined that this gift would lead me to my current career. From that moment on, still photography became an integral part of my life. After completing my scientific BAC, I passed the entrance exam for the Gobelins (in the photography department, of course) in Paris. I graduated after three years of a dream course.
From then on, my path is set: one year of military service as a photographer in the intelligence services of the Navy, followed by a career as a freelancer. Specialising in advertising and industrial photography, I divide my time between Paris, Geneva and Grenoble. I often say that, wherever I’m based, I’ll always have the same sort of clientele. My work is characterised by an eclectic range of subjects, from products staged in the studio or photographed in natural settings, to the creation of an image library for a community of local authorities.
After 40 years in the profession, one thing is clear: diversity renews my inspiration, whilst upholding the belief that commercial photography serves to showcase the work of people. These photographs encapsulate a freelance career spent playing with light, whilst reconciling the artistic principles of the Renaissance with modern techniques.
